I'm trying to find any research on the use of APRV in Neonates. We currently use it all the time in adults and pediatrics. Our SCN licensure only allows for "emergent" and short term use of Oscillators in Neo's so we are looking at other options.

Thank You

Hi Geoffrey

Here is another citation that I found just on a google search. CHOP has been doing work with APRV with kids for quite awhile.-

THE USE OF AIRWAY PRESSURE RELEASE
VENTILATION (APRV) TO FACILITATE WEANING
NEONATES FROM ECMO
Cullen, James a. , Rintoul, Natalie E.*, Connelly, James T., and the ECMO Study Group
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

I am also going to ask a therapist with some experience that I know has lectured on neonatal APRV to respond to your post
